The 2024 IAS collected information on various agriculture activities like crop production, livestock production, land use etc. from the small and medium scale agricultural households.
This dataset contains information related to section Section 10 of the survey questionnaire (Livestock in Stock). This section covered the stock of animals raised by the household, regardless of who owned them.
It asked about animals that were currently kept at the time of data collection, as well as those that were kept over the LAST 12 months prior to the survey. Data in this section was collected at the livestock-group (type of animal) level and included cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys and main types of poultry (village chickens, broilers, layers, exotic chicken, ducks, Turkeys, Guinea fowls, pigeons and quails). Also captured here were some other animals (rabbits) or insects (silkworms, etc.) that the household raised or kept for
consumption of their meat or use of their products. Note that beekeeping was covered in a separate section (section15).
